Exist/Resist explores queer lives in Germany within a political climate in which queer existence is increasingly debated and attacked. Travelling across the country, I meet and photograph queer people in public space, focusing on presence and resilience rather than reducing them to symbols of public discourse. The work is accompanied by images of places marked by anti-queer violence, as well as by texts and voice messages that extend the photographs through the words of those portrayed.
